Beissbarth diagnostic devices can be used for common repair and maintenance jobs on all types of vehicles. This includes products for

We also manufacture our testers on behalf of and under the brand of the OEs. The homologation team prepares global marketing activities for the diagnostic devices and makes sure the strict specifications of the manufacturer, technical standards and legal requirements are met.

Specific customer requirements can be optimally implemented by Beissbarth in individualized small series. Our know-how comes from our traditionally large development team incorporating specialist expertise in mechanical construction, electronics and software development as well as digital image processing and optical measuring technology.

History

The company founders Daniel and Hermann Beissbarth, close friends with Daimler, were the automotive pioneers in Bavaria at the end of the 19th century.

  • 1899 Foundation of the first automobile factory in Bavaria: the motor vehicle and bodywork construction company "Gebrüder Beissbarth" with headquarters at Thierschstraße 23
  • April 14, 1899 The world's first license plate "No. 1" is issued, today part of the exhibition at Deutsches Museum in Munich, Germany
  • 1900 The company moves to larger premises at Sonnenstraße 2
  • 1904 The company moves again, into the large riding hall on Kohlstraße
  • 1913 The company moves once again, this time to Tegernseer Landstraße 210
  • Osmond Beissbarth (one of Daniel Beissbarth's two sons) takes over the company
  • 1950 Hermann Beissbarth (Osmond's brother) joins the company
  • 1951 Introduction of Beissbarth's first passenger car wheel balancing machine, the Nürburg Model
  • 1960 The company moves to its current company premises in Hanauer Straße
  • 1972 The company is sold to the German Rohé Group
  • 1992 Beissbarth separates from the group of companies and acts again as an independent GmbH
  • 2007 Beissbarth becomes part of the Bosch Group's Automotive Service Solutions division within the Automotive Aftermarket business unit
  • 2018 Beissbarth is bought by Stargate Capital GmbH and incorporated into the same group as Werther International S.p.A. and Sicam S.r.l., both based in Reggio Emilia, Italy
  • Since May 2019, Stargate Capital's international group of workshop suppliers is also known as the BASE Group (Beissbarth Automotive Service Equipment).

Apart from Beissbarth GmbH, the BASE Group also includes Werther International S.p.A., Sicam S.r.l.APAC S.r.l., Tecalemit LTD (UK), FOG Automotive (France) and API Car Systems GmbH.
